Maria is from Sierra Leone. She studied in the French cuisine style of cooking and brings both these worlds together to create some spectacular food and drink.
Although recently she has got permission to build a restaurant in Kent, she has been creating these intimate, private dining experiences with her company ShwenShwen.
ShwenShwen have their very own vineyard where her Prosecco comes from and works closely with authentic suppliers to really give you a taste of Freetown.
There is a cookbook available for those who are more culinary inclined as well.
